The Megalodon Shark's spawn location isn't fixed, but it spawns near the Ancient Isle. Here are some tips on how to get your own Megalodon:
Catching the Megalodon requires preparation and a bit of luck. Once you locate the event area , equip a rod capable of handling at least 8,000 kg , such as the Kings Rod, Steady Rod, or Rod of the Depths. It would be best if you also equipped Shark Head bait, as it's the Megalodon's favorite.
When you successfully hook the Megalodon, a rainbow-colored exclamation point will appear above your head, followed by a shimmering sound. However, hooking the Megalodon doesn't mean that you'll automatically catch it. You'll need to fight against its 80 to 85% Progress Speed if you want to add this Exotic fish to your Bestiary!
If you see that the Progress Speed is at 80%, it's a regular Megalodon. The Ancient and Phantom Megalodons both have 85% Progress Speed. Consider using a rod with good resilience stats or one that has the Resilient Enchantment.
